My story

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Easter is a 1 year old very special kitty. We got a call that there was a young kitty that couldn't walk and she was dragging herself along the sidewalk. At first glance it looked as though she had been hit by a car and injured, so we sprang into action and scooped her up and took her immediately to our vet. We had every test done on her including an MRI and nothing was wrong, no broken bones, no spinal injury, bloodwork was all good. Everyone was stumped. We decided at that point to get her placed in one of our amazing foster homes and just wait and see. It was a remarkable journey for sweet Easter. As she slowly gained her strength she eventually began to walk normally again. There is no explanation as to why, she just did it! She does have a 'shaking' behavior where her body trembles at times but it does not affect her daily activities like climbing the cat tree, playing with her toys and most of all snuggling with her human. She has had no litter box issues and has a good appetite. She gets along great with other animals and has an overall fantastic personality. Because of the body shaking at times, the vet suspects something neurological but we have not been able to pinpoint it even with all of the tests. We know some people may be put off by her condition and not consider adopting her, but we are hoping that someone will read her bio and say that she is the one for them! She has been spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, flea treated and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $200.May 20, 2025, 7:20 pm
