My story

Katie is with a foster family near Ringoes, NJ.  If interested, please fillout our application at www.SoCoRescue.com (no phone calls please).   We love fostering Katie!   Katie is a joyful, fun-loving pup who brings energy and happiness wherever she goes. She’s always up for an adventure — whether it’s going for walks, hopping in the car, or exploring new places. But her absolute favorite thing in the world?  Playing with other dogs!  She has doggy playdates nearly every day and truly shines when she's socializing. Katie gets along beautifully with every dog she meets and often comes home happy, tired, and ready for a good meal. As a young pup, Katie still has some playful energy and is learning her manners — but she’s treat-motivated and eager to please, which makes training a breeze. She’s already house-trained, crate-trained, and generally walks well on a leash (though squirrels are still very exciting!). With each day, she’s becoming even more confident and well-behaved. Katie’s dream home? One with a playful dog sibling or an active family who can keep up with her love of fun and friendship. She would thrive with a confident dog-savvy person who can continue to guide her as she grows. While her first adoption didn’t work out, it helped us understand exactly what she needs to thrive — and we’re certain her forever family is out there. Katie is full of love, ready to bond, and will absolutely steal your heart. If you think you might be her match, we’d love for you to meet her. She’s ready to be your loyal companion and best furry friend. Dublin, GA woman contacted SoCo Rescue seeking help in placing a litter of pups that a stray female dog had at her house. This was the second litter from this stray dog, but due to the overwhelming problem that all rescues/shelters in the south are currently facing, including SoCo Rescue, no one was able to assist with the first litter. Eventually the woman found help in placing all but one of the first litter and that pup, along with the mom, are still at the home. Thanks to a grant provided by Fix GA. Pets, we are now able to have the mom and older pup spay. The woman is going to offer at least a temporary home, if not permanent, to both of the dogs.   While the mom appears to be Lab mix, we're not positive who the dad was or his breed. What we do know is that, thanks to the woman and her daughter. this litter has been well socialized towards people. They love to play and re very affectionate, loving to snuggle up to people. Of course the pups will require all of their basic training.   Katie is up to date on vaccines, preventatives and is spayed.  She will need some training but is a quick learner.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 19, 2025, 7:31 pm
