XP Dash - Morristown, NJ

My story

Dash is a gentle, calm, and affectionate dog who thrives on companionship and just being near his people. He has a sweet, soulful presence and brings a peaceful energy to the home. He doesn’t bark, isn’t destructive, and is incredibly low maintenance. He enjoys his daily walks but is also perfectly content lounging on the couch or napping in a sunny spot. Dash is also totally housetrained and walks nicely on a leash. Dash is very very social with dogs and humans. He is very very good with kids, too! He’s been around LOTS of other dogs and does really well with calm, mellow pups who match his vibe. Overly playful dogs (that specifically try to jump on him and be physical) make him a little uncomfortable, so we think he'd do best in a home as either the only dog or with another senior or lower energy dog. Dash's Backstory: Dash was adopted from an animal shelter in 2019. When his owner could no longer care for him, Dash was recently at risk of being returned to the shelter system. We took him in temporarily as a foster dog just to keep him out of the shelter, and it’s been a joy having him - he’s been nothing but sweet and easy to care for. We’re unfortunately not in a position to adopt him ourselves long-term, so we’re doing everything we can to find him the forever home he deserves.
