This brave and lovable boy is Hero, a handsome Pug/Boxer mix with a heart as big as his name. Hero’s story began at the San Antonio TxDOT Hub, where he was sadly dumped and spent a week trying to find relief from the heat—sweetly approaching buildings and vehicles in hopes of a little AC and a lot of love. Fortunately, the kind workers there stepped up and cared for him until rescue could arrive. Hero is around 42 pounds and was born approximately May 20, 2024. He’s still learning the ropes of being a companion dog—especially when it comes to walking on a leash—but his friendly, affectionate personality shines through in everything he does. He gets along great with people and is eager to bond with someone special who can give him the loving home he deserves. If you’re ready to welcome a sweet, resilient pup into your life, Hero is ready to be your sidekick. His adoption fee is $300, and you can apply to adopt him at www.adoggie4you.org. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225.
