My story

Meet Mavis – the sweetest senior girl who’s ready to find her forever home or a long-term foster! This lovely lady adores car rides, especially when she can feel the wind in her face. She was a total champ during her bath and even rolled over for a nail trim, showing just how easygoing she is. Mavis is incredibly affectionate and loves people — she’ll crawl into your lap for snuggles and happily hold your hand with her paw. At the same time, she’s perfectly content being independent and relaxing on her own.Mavis is potty trained, not destructive, and comfortable hanging out in a room by herself. She walks beautifully on a leash, knows “sit,” and while she isn’t reactive to other dogs, she does tend to freeze and flop down when she sees one. She’s been kept separate from a reactive dog in her current home but has previously been noted to be dog-friendly. Mavis has her quirks — she prefers her food scattered on the ground and will use her nose to flip over a bowl if it gets in her way — but they just make her more endearing.Calm, low-maintenance, and full of love, Mavis is looking for a soft place to land.
