Monkey is a 9-10 week old Pomeranian mix puppy with a heart full of love and mischief! This tiny ball of fluff was rescued from the shelter and is now thriving in her foster home, where she lives her best puppy life alongside two large resident dogs, a senior cat, and two kids (ages 6 and 11). Daily Routine: Monkey starts her day bright and early at 7am and is ready for bed by 8pm. She eats three meals a day — breakfast at 7:30am, lunch at 12:30pm, and dinner at 5:30pm. While she’s still too young for walks due to her vaccination schedule, she keeps herself busy romping around the backyard, chasing tennis balls, and wrestling with her doggy foster siblings. During the day, she lounges in an x-pen when her foster can’t supervise her, and at night, she sleeps like a champ in her crate. Personality & Progress: Monkey was a bit timid around the big dogs when she first arrived, but she warmed up quickly and now plays with them like a pro. She’s playful, curious, and always looking for her next adventure. Monkey is also a classic “velcro pup,” sticking close to her humans and always keeping an eye on what’s going on. Though she’s small and quiet, don’t let her size fool you — she's a spunky gal! Good With: Dogs: Yes! Especially big ones — she adores playing with her 70 lb foster siblings. Cats: She likes to bark at the senior cat, but hasn’t shown any aggression. Kids: Absolutely — she’s great with the 6- and 11-year-old children in her foster home. (Note: She sometimes pees a little when picked up, especially by dad — likely due to excitement.) Training & Behavior: Crate-trained: Yes — she sleeps through the night in her crate. House-trained: Still a work in progress. She uses a doggie door but may have accidents if not taken out often. She's only a baby, so this is to be expected! Chewing: Yes, especially when teething or left unsupervised. She loves Yak cheese for chewing! Barking: Occasionally — mostly just mimicking the other dogs. Ideal Home: Monkey would thrive in a home with a family that can match her playful energy. She’d love to have a doggy friend to romp around with! Why Monkey? She’s irresistibly soft, outrageously cute, and the perfect compact companion. Monkey has the right mix of playful energy and couch-snuggling charm. Whether she’s darting through a baby gate or curling up for a nap, she’s guaranteed to bring laughter, love, and plenty of personality to your home. Favorite Thing About Monkey: She's clever, curious, and always keeping her foster family on their toes. Ready for a snuggly sidekick with a mischievous streak? Monkey’s waiting to meet you!May 20, 2025, 12:14 pm
