My story

To describe someone as breezy means that they are carefree, lively and cheerful. Well Breezy is all of that and more! She is a confident petite three year old, weighing 37 pounds. Breezy is happy to curl in next to you after a day of adventures. She hangs out by your feet with a good chew toy if you are working or follows around as you go about your day. Breezy loves to be outside sunbathing and adores chasing after a ball. While she gets along with the other dogs in her foster home, her social skills need a little fine tuning when it comes to sharing. She is eager to please and a quick learner. Sadly, Breezy was not protected against the mosquitoes that carry the heartworm infection and she is positive for heartworm disease. She has started treatment and we would love to speak with you about getting and keeping her healthy for many more years of easy breezy fun. All treatment is covered by the rescue. ADOPTION PROCESS 1. Review our adoption contract and application. 2. Call your vet and references to inform them that a rescue representative will be calling. 3. Complete adoption application and submit following appropriate link below: Dog/Puppy: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HRMD/Dog Cat/kitten: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HRMD/Cat It takes us about 1-3 days to process applications. Once approved, we ask that all members of the household (including dogs) be available for meeting the animal within 5 days. If the meeting goes well, you will submit payment electronically and be able to take your new family member home with you immediately! If for whatever reason you do not take the animal home after the first meeting, please understand that we will continue to process applications for the animal and availability is not guaranteed. 4. Please review these resources prior to the meeting to be prepared with what to expect when bringing a new dog home: a. ttps://www.petfinder.com/dogs/bringing-a-dog-home/tips-for-first-30-days-dog/ b. https://www.dogstardaily.com/free-downloads 5. Love on your new family member and join our Alumni Group! We love seeing updates on the happy endings to your story Thank you for considering The Hero Rescue, we couldn't do it without you

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Breezy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
