My story

Tiger-striped gentle beauty Remy is truly a fan-favorite here at the shelter, with volunteers and community members vying to be the one to take her out each day! One of her volunteer fans shared:“Remy is a friendly, sweet, gorgeous baby and a very playful little striped hippo! She is one of my favorites to take to a play yard. She is so wiggly, you’ve got to watch out for her tail or you might get a wapa-wap attack! She is super friendly in her kennel and easy to leash up and take out! In the play yard she loves to run around and around with her kennelmate. She loves to get in the pool and roll around. She’s so funny, she tried to get up on a chair but her center of gravity did not allow it (she’s short and wide!). When I sit in a chair, she loves to come over and flop down on the ground to get her belly rubbed! She is very friendly and goes over to the fence with a waggy tail to say “hi” to everyone who passes by. Remy is the best!”Remy recently went on a day trip where she definitely stole this community member’s heart:“Remy got to spend several hours out of the kennel today with me at my house and we had an awesome day! She is a total love and spent most of our time together snuggled up next to me with a blankie and stuffie, snoring her big head off! She definitely enjoyed the peace and quiet away from the shelter. She is a sweet, happy, and incredibly chill pup who loves to be close and will follow you around. She LOVES belly, butt and chin rubs and to sit on your lap! She is housebroken. She knows sit and wait, is working on drop it. Comes when called (most of the time) and took treats gently from my hand. She likes chomping on bones and stuffies and playing fetch with tennis Balls. She tried out the pool and discovered she is not a pool dog! Overall Remy is an incredibly sweet, happy, and chill girl who is extremely comfortable in a home and is ready to love you forever. Come meet her, she will melt your heart!”Remy also spent a short time in a home where she was reported to be good with 4 and 6 yr old children and was crate trained. Remy shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has been easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She needs to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit and should not go to dog parks. Remy is adorable, snuggly, sweet, friendly and ready to find her furever home! Come meet her today!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt REMY, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
