My story

Meet Uzzy! | Apply To Adopt Me Uzzy is a compact 20lbs of muscle and personality! We pulled Uzzy from Manhattan NYC ACC after being notified that he was at risk. He's incredibly fit with short legs and a long body - his tail seems to have been docked crudely at somepoint, but he doesn't let that bother him one bit. It still has plenty of wags in it! His origin story isn't quite clear - he was a stray brought in by a good citizen - but one thing we do know is his future is bright!Uzzy has quickly adjusted to the finer things - he loves checking out the dog beds in his foster home, will tap your arm for more affection, and enjoys a good sunbath by the window while he people watches. He's gotten quick with treat puzzle toys so he's definitely a problem solver! Though he enjoys long walks through the neighborhood, he equally enjoys lounging around the house.  Being a boroughbred, he's already used to the hustle and bustle of NYC, but still needs some time to decompress in a new home setting. Once he's comfortable and confident though, the sky is the limit for this little one! As part of our initiative to help out local shelter dogs, Uzzy's adoption fee is $300 AND he's eligible for our Jindo Journey Training Stipend. Uzzy's adopters will benefit from a FULLY covered training package to help set them up for long term success and happiness.   WATCH ME HERE!   Come meet our adoptable dogs at this weekend’s Korean K9 Rescue events!   We’re kicking off June by joining Petco Love’s massive NYC Adoption Block Party at Union Square. This exciting outdoor event features hundreds of adoptable pets, music, activities, giveaways—and our adoption truck will be there with some of our incredible rescue pups.   Sunday, June 1st – Petco Love Adoption Event at Union Square Location: Union Square Park – North Plaza (Broadway & E 17th St) Time: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM Pre-approved adopters: 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM   The first 30 minutes of the event are reserved for pre-approved adopters. If you’re hoping to adopt, we encourage you to apply early for priority access.   Learn more about our adoption process: www.koreank9rescue.org/adoption-procedures www.koreank9rescue.org/adoption-faq   Korean K9 Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit saving dogs from the Korean dog meat trade and overcrowded shelters.   Support our mission: • Donate: www.koreank9rescue.org/donate • Patreon: www.patreon.com/koreank9rescue ##2396595##
