My story

The sweetie pie! Hi, I’m Winfrey! I’m a 3-year-old, 35-pound Shepherd mix with a big heart and lots of energy to share. I’m a spayed female, bathroom trained, and working hard on my leash manners. I am getting used to the crate, but I prefer company around me and get sad if my foster dog brother doesnt sleep around me! I can whine for a bit till I settle in my crate, if alone and cant see anyone. I’m smart and pick up on things quickly! I already know how to sit and wait for treats, which I learned super fast. I was rescued from ESLR and now I’m looking for my forever family. I’m a super sweet and friendly girl, though I can be a little shy when meeting new dogs. But once I warm up, I love to play! I really enjoy chewing on toys, running around the backyard, cuddling, and of course, napping after a good play session. I get along great with kids (even toddlers!) and think I’d thrive in a home with children or another dog to keep me company. I haven’t met any cats yet, so I’m not sure how I feel about them. I do get a little nervous going on walks still, but I’ll walk a bit down the block and back. With some patience and love, I know I’ll get more confident. I’d love a family with lots of energy and time to play with me, but I also settle down really nicely after some fun. I’m joyful, curious, and just want to be loved. I think I’d make a great addition to a home that can give me some company during the day, whether that’s a pup sibling, kids, or someone who works from home. I bet that I have the softest skin you have ever felt and will love petting me! I promise I’ll give you all the love and tail wags in return!
