Love love love Natasha Belle! Oh my goodness are we all a little obsessed over her. She is quite literally the definition of gentle and that's not even an exaggeration. Everything about her is gentle. From the way she interacts with kids and other dogs, the way she walks on a leash, taking treats, the way she asks for affection, even the way her paws touch the ground as she walks....it's all gentle! Watch her video and fall in love with her sweet and gentle personality: https://youtu.be/vAP3ncCfqLo?si=okQgfE5qNglUFKUQ Natasha Belle is a pittie mix approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 75 lbs. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. One thing that is a given with Natasha Belle is that she loves kids! Boy does she love them, she might even love kids more than she loves adults honestly. She immediately went up to Miller who is 4 years old and it was like she knew that is exactly where she belongs and has been there before. Natasha was not phased by anything Miller was doing. From jumping around on and off the couch, to the yelling, random movements, unexpected grabbing hands, and even during those moments when Miller was resting on Natasha's back end and messing with her tail. She was completely comfortable with it all. Natasha listened to Miller when she asked her to sit, listened to her when Miller called out for her, and also took treats very gently from her too. Natasha was born to be a family dog! Natasha Belle is dog friendly and has done great meeting all of the dogs we introduce her too. Her "old soul" personality even showed it self when meeting new dogs. She would greet the other dogs and then would go off and do her own thing, find a spot to lay in the grass and bask in the sun, or she was off getting affection by the people in the yard. She has met a handful of dogs, all with different personalities and has even been with some wild younger playful dogs and was very tolerant of their youthfulness. She is not a super playful lady with other dogs, she gives off more of the laid back chill hangout type of vibes. We have seen her play every now and then. It's very out of the blue and short LOL essentially she just does these cute little paw-hoping like gestures and that's about it. For the most part, she's hanging out in the yard and enjoying the fresh air. She doesn't mind if dogs are playing around her having a good time, she is just the type that likes to hangout and watch. In a home, Natasha would be best placed with a dog that has the same temp as her. A dog that enjoys the company of other dogs and won't be looking for a playmate in Natasha. She would also do great as your one and only too if you don't have other dogs. She does not need the company of another dog to help her feel comfortable with other dogs or to fulfill her energy needs. She is a loving gal all on her own and she is a very calm and mellow lady. Natasha has also spent time with our house cat Biggie and she did great with him too. She wasn't phased by him running around, playing with his kitty toys, causing a ruckus the way cats do, and just kept her distance from him. We do not know if Natasha has ever lived in a home with a cat before nor can we guarantee that things won't change once in the home. We do believe that with slow and proper introductions that Natasha has the potential to live harmoniously with a chill kitty friend that isn't interested in being Natasha's friend. When it comes to house manners, this girl is so well behaved in a home. She is not bouncing off the walls with energy nor is she getting into things that she shouldn't be and from what we can tell so far, she is incredibly quiet. She immediately made her self feel right at home and found her spot on the couch. Natasha is treat motivated too and already knows some basic commands such a sit, walks well on a leash, and walks straight into her kennel with no hesitation. All you have to do is open her kennel door and guide her in that direction, and she's already halfway in. Safe to say that is very comfortable in her crate and she has not had any accidents in her kennel or in the house! Again, her house manners are impeccable. Her dream home can look like so many different things because of how adaptable she is. Work from home and want a companion? Natasha will be there all day for emotional support. Have a family with kids and wanting a companion for your little ones? Sign Natasha up, she loves kids and will be the perfect body pillow. Retried and looking for a mellow easy going gal to take with you on walks around the neighborhood? Natasha is already at the door patiently waiting for you. She has the potential to thrive in an apartment because of her lower energy needs and also she's a quiet lady. A leisurely walk around the park is totally fine for this gal. We do believe that she would be the HAPPIEST in a home with a backyard because of her love of the sun and rolling around in the grass. She really enjoys sunbathing, smelling all the smells, and enjoying the fresh air. At the end of the day, all Natasha needs is some chin scratches, treats, and a nice cozy couch for her to cuddle up on. We are willing to test Natasha Belle with anything you need us to in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option.
