My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. You must submit an application to Best Friend Pet Adoption to be considered for Peter.  The  application is at: https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC   Peter Parker, much like his famous namesake, may seem like your average, unassuming 5-month-old 30lb hound mix puppy. But Peter Parker is a superhero of joy and fun. Mom and puppies were strays, lacking food and comforts, Peter was the most affected. He came into rescue very underweight, with mange, and bowed legs that made him walk a little like a spider.   With better nutrition, extensive play PT with his foster sister, and an environment full of love, Peter has blossomed into a brave, funny hero who is ready for new adventures in his forever home. Could he go on adventures with you?    Peter is crate trained and sleeps through the night in his crate. He's 90% potty trained, knows sit, and is working on leash training. He enjoys the freedom of exploring a fenced yard, likes the company of other pups, but would probably be ok as a solo dog in an active household. Peter has bursts of big energy, loves to run and play, and play wrestle with his foster siblings.   Peter has met children, and been shy or disinterested with them, but based on his playfulness and energy level, may be best suited for older children.  He has not been cat tested. His foster currently works from home, and so he has company throughout the day. Still in puppy mode, he's crated when family is out. Peter is usually a quiet dog.    Peter loves toys, to play, gives kisses, and can make just about any activity fun. His fur is soft, and shiny, and he's checked out in top health. There's no way to have a bad day with Peter by your side He always ready with a game, or a trick, or a hop to make you smile. Adopt Peter today, and enjoy being a part of him growing up into the superhero of your family.   Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.  Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC.   INTERESTED IN ADOPTING PETER? If so, please fill out our dog adoption application by copying and pasting this link in a new browser window: https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 27, 2025, 7:42 am
