My story

Meet Bert!This lively and affectionate 1-year-old Pit Bull/Australian Cattle Dog mix is bursting with personality—and love. Bert arrived at the shelter with his brother, Ernie, and he’s been winning hearts ever since with his playful energy and sweet nature. Bert loves to chase after toys and balls (though he’s still working on bringing them back!). He’s gentle when taking treats and thrives on human interaction, often climbing into your lap for kisses and cuddles. While he can get a little excitable, it’s all part of his endearing, enthusiastic charm. He’s a strong walker who may pull a bit on leash, but with his energy and eagerness, he’d make a fantastic running or hiking buddy for an active home.Bert is curious about other dogs and might enjoy a canine companion—just be sure to bring any resident pups in for a meet-and-greet. Because of his high energy and occasional overexcitement, Bert would do best in a home with kids over 12. Bert is ready to fill your life with adventure, affection, and plenty of tail wags.
