My story

Penelope is the Princess you didn't know your heart was missing! This adorable girl came to us from a recent hoarding home where she lived her whole life in confinement with 70+ other chihuahuas. She had never known human touch, never set her paws on green grass, never got to breath fresh air outside with the sun shining on her little nose. Penelope now has a whole new lease on life and what an amazing world is out there waiting for her! Since her rescue she has really come out of her shell and blossomed into something magical! She has learned what love means and is ready to find her own people to share that love with. This sweet girl can be very shy in a new home and will need a week or so to settle in and feel safe. Once she does her loving and sweet nature emerges and she wants to be near her humans all the time. She is currently fostered with another small dog who she takes her cues from and helped her open up. She is good with other friendly small dogs as well as friendly cats. She loves going on walks and smelling all the smells in the fresh air. At night she prefers to sleep next to her furry friends as well as her humans. Penelope is kennel trained, leash trained, potty trained and fully vetted! She is friendly with other small dogs and cats with a proper introduction. She has not been around larger dogs or children. Due to her past, we recommend older respectful children as she can be nervous at first. Our adoption fee is $150 and we require home and fence checks for all potential adoptions with an approve application.
