My story

Hi there! My name is Baby Ruth, and I’m ready to melt your heart like a candy bar in the sun. I’m a little black and white girl with the softest fur and the dreamiest amber eyes you’ve ever seen. It took me a long time to feel safe and loved here at the sanctuary, but oh, what a difference a little patience and kindness can make! I'm still a bit shy at first—but once I get to know you and trust you, I’ll follow you around with my teeny-tiny meows and reach out with my paws asking (okay, *demanding*) more pets. Seriously, once you start, I never want you to stop! I might not be a full-time lap cat, but I do love being near my people. I’ll even let you hold me for a bit—just know that when I say I’m done, I mean it. (Respectful boundaries are very chic.) I love napping in silly positions—arms stretched out like Superman, on a Kuranda bed or even a baby changing pad. I also adore playing! Wand toys, toy mice, bouncy balls, catnip—bring it on! And let’s talk treats... I’m obsessed. Crunchy, lickable, chewy—I don’t discriminate. I enjoy soaking up the sunshine and snuggling with my feline friends, so I’d be very happy in a home with other cats. What I really need is someone gentle and patient, someone who sees the special little soul underneath my shy side. Once I feel safe, I promise I’ll show you just how loving and sweet I truly am. So… will you be the one to give me my forever home? Come meet me any day between 1-5pm to see if I’m the one! I am great with other cats and would enjoy a home with one or two. I have excellent litter box habits. My new perfect family NEEDS to that understands it WILL take me a while to adjust at first and I WILL hide as I adjust. Give me time, patience, and use food as a tool to get me out of my shell - I really am a wonderful cat. I am fully vetted: spayed, FIV&FeLV negative, and up-to-date on all my vaccinations. I require an indoor only home and as with all cats - absolutely no declawing.
