Addison is a quiet joy to have in the home. Shy and unsure for the first couple of days, she has since warmed up beautifully and now enjoys a calm, trusting relationship with her person. She bonds quickly and deeply with gentle handling and a patient environment. In the home, Addison is peaceful and well-mannered. She enjoys plush toys and her dog tennis ball and is content lounging on the floor, your lap, or the patio with a favorite toy nearby. She’s house-trained and sleeps quietly through the night in her crate, also tolerating a few hours crated during the day without complaint. On walks, Addison is a mix of cheerful exploration and understandable caution. She walks happily most of the time, but can get spooked by people, animals, or even sudden movement like cottonwood fluff. When she’s startled, she may freeze, hide behind your legs, or try to move away—but she’s never shown aggression or fear-based reactivity. She just needs someone who can be her steady anchor. Addison doesn’t chew on shoes, but she might nibble on soft items like fabric or her leash. With continued guidance and routine, she’s well on her way to blossoming into a confident and secure pup. She is currently the only pet in her foster home and doing wonderfully. Addison is a loving, quiet companion who will thrive in a calm, stable home where she can continue to build trust and confidence. If you’re looking for a loyal friend who will enrich your life with her gentle presence, Addison may be the perfect match. Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not adopt or ship outside the state of Arizona. To ensure the best fit, UAF conducts a home visit to meet other pets and verify a safe, secure yard. If you have any questions or to adopt a dog an application must submitted. Filling out this form does not obligate you to adopt, but gives us the information needed to make sure the pet is suited to your home. HOW TO APPLY: From Petfinder.com The fastest way to get to the adoptable dog page is to copy and then paste this link into your browser: https://unitedanimalfriends.org/adoptable-dogs/ When you are on the UAF website Select "Adoptable Dogs" and pick the dog you are interested in. To apply to adopt, go into the dog's profile, and click the gray "Apply for Adoption" button to get started. You could be a life saver! Help us save more lives by fostering a dog or cat. If you live in the Prescott Az area please go to our website unitedanimalfriends.org and learn more about fostering!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Addison, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
