My story

Introducing Tex—the charismatic brother of Maverick, Cowboy, and Miss Kitty! With his sturdy little frame, freckled cattle-dog markings, and alert corgi-esque ears, Tex looks every bit the miniature ranch hand he was born to be. Tex is all puppy right now: curious, energetic, and soaking up new experiences like a sponge. Fortunately, that cattle-dog heritage gives him a first-class brain. Show him a cue once or twice—“sit,” “touch,” maybe even “spin”—and he’s eager to nail it for praise and a tasty treat. Positive, consistent training will turn this smart youngster into an obedience rock star. He loves sniff-quests in the yard, splashing through puddles, and keeping pace on short hikes. Indoors, he’s a cuddle connoisseur who settles happily in your lap after a good play session, content to dole out puppy kisses while recharging for the next adventure. Tex will thrive with an active family that can give him daily mental challenges, plenty of exercise, and all the affection a lovable herding pup craves. Offer him guidance and room to explore, and Tex will grow into a loyal, fun-loving companion ready to ride shotgun on every journey life brings. Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not adopt or ship outside the state of Arizona. To ensure the best fit, UAF conducts a home visit to meet other pets and verify a safe, secure yard. If you have any questions or to adopt a dog an application must submitted.
