My story

Knuckles is a sweet guy that would love to find out what a loving forever home is all about! He is around 2 years old and is a special boy. Knuckles has Cerebellar Hypoplasia, which typically occurs when a pregnant cat is infected to the Feline Panleukopenia Virus which attacks the Cerebellum in the unborn kittens. It is likely that Knuckles` mom was exposed to that virus. Knuckles is not contagious and is not in any pain, he is accustomed to his swaying walk and does compensate well for it. Knuckles is not a severe case, but he does have some trouble walking on smooth surfaces (he has rugs and full floor coverage here at the shelter to ensure that he can move about freely) and will not be able to do stairs. He does have a swaying walk but can keep himself mostly upright on carpeted floors. Knuckles does have the intention tremors when he goes to eat but is able to eat well and comfortably. It is recommended that potential adopters do some research on cerebellar hypoplasia in order to see if they could work with a guy like Knuckles! He would love to find a home where he can be loved and have the best life he can! He has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, FIV/Felv tested, and microchipped since his arrival at the shelter.
