My story

Meet sweet Willow! Willow is a sweet girl who is a darling love bug! We are told Willow is a 9 month-old female border collie mix. Her main goal in life is to be next to somebody, literally, and have someone to call her own. Willow seems to have been an outdoor only dog, but since in foster care she has had been doing great at potty training and crate training. Her foster parents are continuing to work on her manners in the house. Willow is food motivated and super smart and has already mastered “sit” and “down”. She is still working on “off” since she likes to jump up on people and counter surf. Willow is pretty good with other dogs who are respectful and have manners. She plays really well with her foster’s female dogs but can sometimes be overwhelming to smaller dogs. She has high energy and will need lots of exercise. Willow is getting better at leash walking and has done great on walks with another dog to show her the ropes. We think she would LOVE to be in a home with a dog or two her size or larger. However, city noises do distract her so she does stop and pull on occasion. She hasn't shown any signs of resource guarding of food but she can be territorial with toys. Unknown how she is with kids or cats. Willow is a blank slate, and with treats, praise, and time she is coming along nicely in her training. She has been spayed and microchipped. She is being fostered in Moses Lake, WA and her adoption fee is $400. If you are interested in meeting this sweet love, please fill out an application at http://herduneededahome.com/adoption-process/ or email us with questions at hunahapps@gmail.com.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Willow, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
