My story

Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Phelps, NY *This dog doesn’t belong to ASF and hasn’t been evaluated by ASF.* Meet Milo! He is an 4 year old Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix and weighs around 35 lbs. He is neutered and up to date on shots, but isn’t on heartworm prevention. Milo is fearful of strangers! He is good with cats and dogs! He is reactive towards other dogs on leash, but has been fine when he has gone to doggy daycare. No children, due to his reactivity! He is on Zoloft for anxiety. Milo has shown aggressive tendencies since he was a puppy. He has resource guarding issues, sometimes over things that weren’t previously in his possession. The owner has tried training, but he hasn’t improved. His owner says he loves to cuddle and is very smart! They are surrendering him because he doesn’t do well with their baby. He needs to go ASAP! If you think you can provide a great home for Milo, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $100 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Milo. Owner’s Contact Information: Alyssa at amc8039@rit.edu

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Milo, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
