My story

Meet Tequila! This sweet 7 year old girl came to us as an owner surrender when she was no longer a good fit for the home. She is a delightful and affectionate dog who is blossoming as she sheds some extra pounds in her foster home. With her newfound energy, she's becoming more active and peppier, showcasing her happy personality. She loves to play and is very social, getting along with both dogs and cats in her foster home - therefore, she could live with another dog pending a successful meet and greet. Tequila is a friendly and gentle soul who respects boundaries, especially with her canine and feline housemates. She knows when to give them space and has become best friends with the cat in her foster home. She is currently on a weight loss plan to help ease the strain on her joints, and would thrive in a home who is committed to her ongoing weight loss journey. She loves fruits and veggies as treats, especially carrots! She'd also do well in a home with children 13 years and up who are respectful of her space.
