My story

**Meet Macho – Your New Best Friend!** At 4.5 years old and weighing in at a sturdy 67 pounds, Macho is a happy-go-lucky guy with a big heart and a goofy personality to match. This lovable pup is the perfect mix of playful and chill, making him a great companion for a variety of lifestyles. Macho enjoys the simple things in life—like rolling in the grass, soaking up belly rubs, and indulging in his favorite treat: pup cups! He's a gentle treat-taker and is always ready to flash you a big, goofy grin when it's snack time. He walks pretty well on leash, only pulling a bit when something really grabs his attention. When meeting new people, Macho might get a little excited and jump up to say hello, but he’s easily redirected—he just loves making new friends. Car rides? No problem! Macho may need a little encouragement to hop in, but once he's settled, he’s a calm and quiet travel buddy. He’s not particularly toy-motivated, but his tail wags tell you all you need to know—he's happiest just being near his people. Macho appears to be house-trained and is nonreactive around other dogs. With his medium energy level, he’s up for a walk or a bit of playtime, followed by a nice nap at your feet (or on a soft dog bed, if you insist). If you’re looking for a sweet, easygoing, and slightly goofy dog who’s already a pro at being a great companion, Macho’s your guy. Come meet him and see just how quickly he’ll Macho his way into your heart. As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
