Herc is completely potty trained, and crate trained, too, as long as there is a treat involved.  He seems to love all people (and their attention) but can sometimes be a little leery and need a slower introduction.  He ADORES my teenage daughters, in particular, and all of their friends.  He can sometimes need reassurance when people run and/or roughhouse near him.  While he is not currently in a home with other pets, it has been said that he is friendly with other animals.  In Alabama, he was boarded with brother, Phil.  He does not generally react to other dogs on walks (he only tries to chase bunnies ).   It took Herc a bit of time to get comfortable and show his true personality.  He is a very sweet & lovable boy.  When out socializing him at sporting events and such, people have spoken often of his calm demeanor.  Herc loves to lean against his people, sit right on their feet, and make physical contact in some way.  He LOVES to play with his toys, and will require stimulating toys for tough chewers.  Herc ranks 6/10 on walking skills; he is getting there but sometimes his foster mom feels like a bit of a ballerina spinning around the leash.  On the bright side, he doesn’t pull and is manageable in that way. Herc’s foster mom’s favorite thing about him is the fact that he entertains himself with toys and balls, throwing them in the air and being silly.  She also likes that he’s a great snuggler and “reminds” you with a nudge when you stop petting him.
