My story

*** Meeches is at The Cat Cafe in downtown San Diego. ***Meeches #19761: cream/brown Snowshoe mix, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 6/23/20Cats: okayDogs: yes w/ proper introChildren: gentle mid-elementary+ BACKGROUND: Meeches was adopted as a kitten, but when her guardian married someone who is allergic to cats she was moved to a family member’s home. That person took diligent care of Meeches but wasn’t a cat person; wanting Meeches to have a home where she can fully be part of the family, they reached out to The Rescue House. PERSONALITY: Meeches was too young to eat on her own when she was originally rescued, and she was bottle-raised. She loves to be around her people! She’s a lap cat, and she’ll also be right there on the bed with you at night, busily kneading her paws on the blankets. During the day Meeches tends to take a lot of siestas (she’s a cat, after all), and her favorite snooze perch is atop her cat tower by the window where she can collect warm sunbeams and enjoy the view (though cozy cat beds are good, too). At wakeful times she particularly likes to play hallway soccer as she bats her toys around or go racing after a laser pointer. The most important times of day are Meal Times, and Meeches will be right there ready for her share. She is a very sweet and companionable kitty!COMPATIBILITY: Meeches was raised around dogs and sometimes it looks like she thinks she’s more of a dog than a cat! (If the dog gets a treat, she expects one, too.) She should do well if given a proper introduction to a cat-knowledgeable canine. She is also fine with other cats once introduced. She has met some younger children though is more comfortable with older ones who are already familiar with gentle cat-handling and aren`t too rowdy.Meeches is looking for a home where she can be fully embraced and loved.
