Meet Carla: Your New Best Friend Carla, a charming 3-year-old Rat Terrier mix, is eagerly waiting to find her forever home. Weighing in at a petite 10 pounds, Carla is not just any dog; she boasts a striking mahogany and white coat that makes her quite the head-turner. Carla’s Journey Carla's journey hasn't been easy. She was abandoned and found her way to a high-risk shelter after suffering a fractured pelvis. Thankfully, she has since healed beautifully and is not expected to have any future issues stemming from her injury. However, due to her past, Carla prefers not to be picked up abruptly. She enjoys jumping up on her own to snuggle in a lap and bask in affection. Ideal Home Considering her history and preferences, we recommend a home without young children for Carla. This will ensure she feels safe and comfortable in her environment. Carla’s Skills and Health Carla is a well-rounded dog with several desirable traits: Crate Trained: She feels comfortable and secure in her crate. Leash Trained: Enjoys leisurely walks with her human companions. Potty Trained: She knows where to go and when. Loves Car Rides: She's the perfect travel buddy for road trips. In terms of health, Carla is fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and spayed. She also has a ProHeart 12 injection, providing 12 months of protection against heartworms.
