My story

Chase von Selbitz is 2 year old handsome, tall black German Shepherd with a heart just as stunning as his appearance. At approximately 70 pounds and 25.5 inches tall, he carries himself with a calm confidence that makes him a standout in any crowd. He walks beautifully on leash and is very responsive to corrections, often looking to his handler for guidance. He’s a social boy who did great in playgroups, mingling easily and respecting the other dogs’ space. He especially enjoys the company of females and submissive males. Chase’s personality shines through in everything he does. Sweet, gentle, and super eager to please, he absolutely loves affection and will happily soak up all the rubs you have to offer. He already knows how to sit and is very motivated to learn more commands quickly. Energy-wise, Chase sits at a nice mid-level – ready for fun but also able to relax when it’s time to chill. He’s ready to meet his forever family. Chase is truly a big goofball who thrives on human connection. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.
