My story

DOB: Dec 30, 2021 Arya is a curious and affectionate cat who loves to be near her people. Whether she's following you from room to room or curling up next to you for a cozy nap, she enjoys being part of the action. She’s highly food-motivated, which makes her a quick learner and a joy to train. Arya already knows commands like “sit,” “come,” “spin,” “up,” and “nose” (where she taps her nose to your finger), and she’s currently working on “paw.” With her smarts and interest in learning, Arya could be a great candidate for training with talking pet buttons! Playtime is another of Arya’s favorite things—she loves food puzzles, wand toys, laser pointers, and catnip. She’s learning to enjoy being petted and even accepts chin scratches now, though she can become overstimulated if she gets too much attention at once. While she’s not a fan of being picked up, she’s learning to tolerate it calmly. Arya has a food allergy that causes some facial itching and hair loss, but it’s well-managed with a hydrolyzed diet and a simple pill every other day, easily hidden in a treat. This sweet girl has come a long way—from being fearful to seeking affection—and she’s ready for a patient, loving home where she can continue to blossom and show her true personality.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Arya, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
