My story

Location: Maple Lake, MN Meet Edna! 🐾 Edna is a fun, snuggly girl with a playful streak and a whole lot of love to give! She’s the life of the party at doggy daycare (she fits right in with the “rowdy” crew!) and gets along great with the two dogs in her foster home. Squeaky toys are her absolute favorite, and she’s happiest when she gets to run, play, and then curl up for snuggles. Edna would do best in a home with kids 14+ — she didn’t thrive in a previous home with young children, and she’s more comfortable in a calmer, more structured environment. She’s great in her kennel, rides well in the car, and has made amazing progress with leash training using a prong collar. While she still gets excited and barks at other dogs on walks, she’s come a long way and just needs a little continued guidance. She did have one meet-and-greet where she got possessive of the person giving her attention and had a scuffle with the resident dog. This may have been due to stress after recently being returned to foster, as she’s never shown this behavior at home or daycare. With a patient, experienced adopter, she’ll continue to build confidence and trust. A fenced-in yard would be a big plus for Edna — she loves to run and burn off energy before settling down for snuggle time. With structure, exercise, and love, Edna is going to make an amazing companion. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
