My story

Scott is a dashing doggo with glossy fur and a lucky streak – all he’s missing now is YOU! Lucky Scott is 2 years old and weighs 60 lbs. He is dog friendly and good with kids - a true social butterfly. Once he knows you he is so affectionate! He was called Scott at the shelter, but his amazing fosters call him Lucky - which he sure is to be with them! Not only did they save his life because #fosteringsaveslives, they also take him on family trips and include him in all their functions. Wow, he really is such a good boy! Lucky loves tennis balls and will fetch outdoors but often gets distracted by dandelion flowers - isn't that just the cutest? Visiting relatives stay over and even though he was a little leery at first, by the end of their stay he was so affectionate with them! Lucky Scott has truly been flourishing, showing off what a smart and obedient good boy he is. He is super smart and knows the commands sit, paw, other paw, down, wait. Like most dogs, Lucky is SO excited at meal time - but he will patiently wait to eat until you say "ok". He is obsessed with car rides; he loves looking out the window (check out his pics). Lucky loves attention and will roll over for belly rubs. His fosters tell us, "On a visit to family Lucky behaved well in a new household with multiple new adults and a spunky wire haired dachshund as a playmate. When the dachshund became defensive of a favorite toy or sleeping spot, lucky backed off and respected boundaries. Physically he’s very trusting - he lets us examine any part of him. He goes to bed when we do (in his own bed not ours) and stays there until we get up. He never wakes us up. He’s housebroken, no accidents. When we leave the house he whimpers for a few minutes then he lays down and takes a nap. He is not destructive and has never chewed anything that wasn’t a dog toy." Good boy, Lucky!
