My story

Introducing Pixel, a shy sweetheart with the most adorable pointy ears you’ve ever seen. This one-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix was found wandering the streets of Long Beach and picked up as a stray. Life on her own left her a little nervous and unsure, but with each passing day, Pixel is starting to trust and open her heart.Though she may be timid at first, once you earn her trust, Pixel loves gentle pets and soft voices. She’s quietly affectionate and seems to truly enjoy the company of kind, patient people who give her the time and space she needs to feel safe.She’s still figuring out how to interact with other dogs and isn’t quite comfortable in that area yet, so a calm home where she can be the only pet—or have slow, structured introductions—would be ideal as she continues to build confidence.Pixel is a gentle soul with so much potential. All she needs is a loving, understanding home to help her blossom into the brave, happy dog she’s meant to be.
