My story

Hi, I’m Sergeant Pepper, and I’m ready for my forever home, thanks to the amazing folks at BTKR! Read on for my story… I was the alpha male on my street for 6 months, and I strolled around with an unmistakable swagger! I started coming around a nice man’s porch to get food and scritches, and I decided to stick around. I quickly realized this could be my ticket to the good life! While waiting for space to open up within the rescue I got friendlier, allowed the humans to pick me up, napped on the porch, and even jumped in laps! When my big day came, a kind lady named Summer came over to “trap” me, but i just walked in a carrier on my own as soon as she opened it! Little did they know, I’d been waiting to catch a break for a while - I know a good thing when I see it! My first night in foster I slept SOOOO well! It felt great knowing I was safe. They found me hugging onto the soft bedding while sleeping, and I ate SOOOO much yummy canned food! Soon, I had my neuter appointment, and now that I’m out of the baby-making business, I’m ready to join your family! A couple other things you should know about me: *I’m not a fan of thunderstorms, but I love the fan! The wind in my face feels great, but all that noise is scary! *I would do best in a home with no young kids or dogs. I can get a little overzealous when I play so I sometimes nip and I’d hate to accidentally hurt a little one. **I need to eat a canned food diet for life since I had urinary blockage when I was first rescued. But the good news: The vet said Crunchy treats are okay!
