In her foster home,  Chestnut immediately bonded with her 17 year old human foster sibling. She learned to enjoy her daily walks and brief social outings to the parks where she has enjoyed leashed interactions with other pups. She can be shy at first ,but warms up with time and treats. She has many traits of her beautiful breed including intelligence, loyalty, and friendliness. Chestnut is a very smart and athletic dog that would do great on agility courses. She still plays like a puppy and loves learning new things. Chestnut is house and crate trained. She is described as docile and would do well with another medium size docile companion or she'd enjoy being queen of her castle. Chestnut has met a number of dog savvy kids including one as young as 4 years old. She is very at ease around children enjoying cuddles and head scratches. Once she knows and trusts you she is very sweet, obedient and eager to please.  Who wouldn’t be captivated by her beautiful eyes!!
