My story

Meet Bruce – Your Lovable Shadow 🐾 Bruce is a big-hearted, sweet-as-can-be pup who’s ready to be your loyal companion. This handsome guy will happily lean up against you for hours, soaking up every ounce of affection you’re willing to give—he lives for love and attention! Bruce has worked with a professional trainer and it shows! He’s food-motivated and loves training time. He already knows several commands including sit, down, stay (short distances), crate, and wait. He’s learning the “place” command and has good manners at doorways, waiting patiently before heading in or out. Mealtime is a structured routine for Bruce: he sits and stays while you set his bowl down and only eats when you release him with the word free. Smart and polite! Bruce is crate-trained and will let you know when he needs to go out, whether he's crated or free in the house. He walks fairly well on a loose leash but still needs a little help staying focused on exciting outings. While Bruce has shown no aggression toward other dogs, he does get overstimulated and excited easily—so a calm, structured home is where he’ll thrive. For that reason, Bruce would do best as your one-and-only pet in a home with no small dogs, cats, or children. He redirects well with encouragement or treats, so continued positive reinforcement will go a long way with him! If you’re an experienced dog person looking for a loyal, trainable, cuddle-loving companion, Bruce might just be the one. 💙 📩 Interested in Bruce? If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bruce, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
