My story

Introducing Bruce! Bruce is a 1.5 year old Great Dane that joined the AHHS after being found in a church parking lot at Christmas time in 2024. When found, he was severely malnourished, and it took some time for him to learn to trust and love again. Since then, Bruce has made great strides, and we have gotten to know him quite well. Bruce is currently undergoing a board and train program to help him be the best big boy he possibly can. He is working on things like obedience, house training, kennel training, and leash work. We consider Bruce to just be a great big puppy. We see his potential, but his forever family has to be willing to put in the work! Bruce does not like cats, so a cat free home is a must. He thoroughly enjoys playing with other dogs, especially females! We would love to find a family familiar with the breed, but if not, you must be willing to do your homework. To meet Bruce, apply online at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/AHTN/Dog or email Halee@ahhumanesociety.org with any questions!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bruce, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
