My story

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption fee: $800   The Midsummer Puppies – 8 Weeks Old | Mini Schnauzer Mixes       Born under the summer moon to the lovely Mini Schnauzer Mama Midsummer, these four tiny dreamers have grown up safe, loved, and well-socialized in their foster home. With their unknown dad lending just a hint of mystery to the mix, the Midsummer pups look like classic little Schnauzers—fuzzy faces, sturdy builds, and bold, curious eyes.       At 8 weeks old, they’re beginning to show off their unique personalities, and we can’t wait for them to find families of their own.       Life in the Pen   The puppies spend their days in a cozy pen filled with toys, a crate, and a comfy bed (which they use in hilariously unpredictable ways—sometimes halfway in, halfway out!). Their schedule is steady: breakfast around 7 a.m., playtime and zoomies while their foster cleans up, then another small meal before their foster heads to work at 10 a.m.       While alone during the day, they alternate between naps and play-fests, and when their foster returns in the evening, it’s time for more food, more play, and belly rubs all around. A little food is left out at bedtime for midnight snacks—because growing pups need fuel!       Meet the Midsummer Litter   Puck   The tiniest of the group, but don’t let his size fool you—Puck plays just as hard as his siblings - as you would expect from a pup named Puck! He’s got a thoughtful, calm nature and is the consummate observer, often sitting back to watch before gently joining in. A quiet charmer with a big heart.       Oberon   The biggest and boldest pup, Oberon is always on the move. He loves to wrestle, even when his siblings are trying to nap, and his curiosity knows no bounds—he was the first to leap over the pen barrier like a true explorer. Life with Oberon will never be boring. He would love a playmate to go on adventures with!       Helena   The tiny diva of the litter, Helena is expressive and always has something to say. She was the first to climb out of the kiddie pool and attempt to explore the big wide world (aka the apartment). She craves attention and isn’t afraid to ask for what she wants. She's ready to be your partner in crime!       Titania   The softest and possibly the sweetest, Titania has starlit gray flecks scattered through her black coat, and a personality that mirrors her mama’s loving spirit. While the others roughhouse, Titania prefers lap time and belly rubs—pure cuddle magic in puppy form.       Their Future Homes   These pups are looking for families who are ready to:       Continue their training and socialization       Embrace the puppy chaos and wonder       Offer love, patience, and structure as they grow       Match their unique personalities to the right kind of lifestyle (lap snugglers welcome!)       Whether you're looking for a bold adventurer or a quiet cuddlebug, one of the Midsummer Puppies might just be your new best friend. Come meet them—before they all climb out of the pen and come find you first!                                    June 2, 2025, 3:19 am
