My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!I have lived with cats in my previous home.I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me.I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.Ember is a shy and sensitive cat who is still adjusting to his surroundings. When approached, he remained on his shelf with a low body posture and wide eyes, showing signs of nervousness. While he wasn't interested in treats just yet, he allowed gentle petting all over and accepted a partial pick-up without struggling, quietly staying in place when set back down. Ember is a sweet soul who will need a little time, patience, and a calm environment to feel safe and come out of his shell. With love and understanding, he has the potential to truly blossom.Ember tolerates attention and petting but appears to be moderately fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that he go to a home with some cat experience preferred and be well counseled in fearful cat behavior.
