Captain

My story

Captain loves/craves attention. He likes to play with most dogs. We have found he is unsure when at adoption events and barks more than necessary. Probably needs some more socialization outside of his normal environment. He will become very attached to his 'person', and is incredibly sweet and trainable. He just wants to please! Captain is affectionate and happy to see you. He has been described as a 'muppet' and he loves water! At first meeting, he may seem a little apprehensive but as soon as he feels safe (usually pretty quickly), he will be your best friend. He is delighted to see familiar faces each week, ie, volunteers who walk and play with him. Basically he matches your energy - if you are chill, so is he. If you are excited, he's right there with you! Because he can be 'jumpy', we do not recommend a family with very young children.Captain is Heartworm positive. Adopters should discuss heartworm protocols with their veterinarian to determine treatment. He also tested positive for Ehrlichiosis has been treated for that.
