Meet Raine: A Gentle Soul Looking for a Safe Harbor 📍 10 months old | Neutered male | Returned 5/30/25 | Originally arrived 5/13/25 Raine is a shy, sensitive young cat with a gentle spirit, seeking a safe haven where he can begin understanding home-life. He was adopted once before but was returned for being too shy and struggling to adjust, including having accidents in the house (which can be stress-related.) Change is difficult for most cats, and he needs someone patient enough to let him take things slow. He feels safest in small, quiet spaces and should start in one room as he learns to trust again. Raine may never be the bold, outgoing type. He accepts pets, slow blinks when he feels safe, and even enjoys quiet lap time when more comfortable with you. He seems drawn to other cats and may do well with a confident feline friend to help him settle in. Raine’s ideal home is calm, adult-only (or with very chill teens), and full of understanding. 🐾 Please know: Cats this shy can take months to adjust. Raine needs someone truly patient, gentle, and committed to helping him feel safe. He's not looking for perfection—just someone who sees him and is willing to wait for the trust that’s waiting to grow!
