My story

FOSTER CARE! Hi there! My name is Peter and I'm a 10-month old, pit bull mix that currently weighs about 34lbs but I'm a growing boy that is a little under weight. I'm hoping for a patient and loving family that is prepared to teach me about the world and build my social skills. My friends here at PHS say I'm making great progress, but I still have some work to do. I'm a total lovebug that enjoys human attention. I've also been able to play with a few of my dog friends here at the shelter. I'm a gentle boy with a softer playstyle and can be overwhelmed by rough and tumble play. Because of this, I would like to meet the entire household including any resident dogs prior to joining your family. For more information, just ask about Peter! Drop-In hours for Same Day Adoptions are 11 am – 5 pm, 7 days a week (closed major holidays). We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around!
