My story

When you first meet Daisy, you might notice her luxurious locks, or her spunky personality. In fact, you might be so enchanted by her sweet demeanor, that only when you go to look into her sweet soulful eyes, will you notice the most unique thing about her; she has only one eye! Daisy was brought to us with an acute eye injury, but with lots of care and TLC from our vets and staff, is now living comfortable and pain-free. Adjusting to life with one eye can be a challenge (people always sneaking up on you!), but Daisy has approached it with grace and a friendly, personable attitude. To help her feel most confident, new people should always approach her from her sighted side, so she be ready when you reach down for a pat. She has lived with young people and other pets in the past, and could get along well with a doggy pal ready to give her time to get to know them. Her new family should be committed to helping her continue with her adjustment to her new life, and helping her discover what adventures her new chapter can hold. Come on in and meet Daisy today!This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff!Be sure to check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
