My story

We are pleased to introduce Ghosty, a Harlequin Great Dane. Ghosty came to Animal Advocacy from a cruelty situation injured, sick and underweight. But just look at her now. She has flourished in her foster home and is ready to find her forever home. Ghosty was born last June and is still a puppy (70 lbs. and still growing). Ghosty is a girl who wants to have fun. She loves car rides, toys, games (especially tug of war) and running around in the yard. She is good with other dogs. She hasn’t been cat tested but has been around guinea pigs. She is good around kids but can be a bit overwhelming because of her size. Ghosty is crate-trained, sits, waits and knows when it is dinner time to wait in her kennel. She is also house-trained and lets you know when she needs to go outside. She will wake you up to go out. A securely fenced yard is a must for this girl. Ghosty will need her new family to continue working with her to get over her puppy habits (jumping, door dashing, pulling on the leash and, of course, shoe chewing). She has a sensitive stomach so a probiotic and food for sensitive stomachs are good ideas. She can be food/bowl aggressive if other dogs come into her area while she’s eating (3 cups, twice a day). Does you family have a king-sized hole that only a big, funny, sweet and playful dog can fill? Ghosty may be just the girl you’re looking for. Ghosty has been spayed (with Gastropexy), is current on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Ghosty, please complete an adoption application on our website (uaaf.org/adopt). For more information, please call/text Cathy at 801-598-0771 or email cv-sandy@hotmail.com.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Ghosty, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
