My story

Meet Reggie Dude, a 3-year-old Border Terrier with a gentle soul and the sweetest eyes. Weighing 17 pounds, Reggie came to us from another shelter and is still learning to navigate the world with confidence. Reggie is heartworm positive but has already received a ProHeart-12 injection and is currently undergoing treatment. He'll need a recheck in six months to ensure he's on the path to full recovery. Shy around strangers, Reggie takes time to warm up—but once he trusts you, he’ll greet you with happy tail wags and soak up all the affection you can give. He would thrive in a quiet home with a patient adopter who’s willing to go slow and give him the space he needs to decompress and feel safe. Reggie is very fearful of men and tends to avoid being around them, so a female-led household or one with very gentle male figures would be best for his comfort and progress. He’s currently working on his leash and potty training skills and will need continued support in those areas. Reggie is also undersocialized and tends to be fearful of loud noises, so a calm environment will help him feel secure. He gets along well with other dogs. While he doesn’t care to play, he enjoys being around them and watching what they’re up to—his curiosity is always at work. With love, patience, and a little time, Reggie Dude has the potential to become a devoted and loving companion. 🐾💛🐶 Adoption fee is: $300 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.
