My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Marilyn (saymarilyn@gmail.com), 610-670-2183, 610-781-3025 for more information about this pet. Scroll down to see more pictures of this dog. Beauregard is available for adoption. He is 6 years old and weighs 3 pounds. His adoption fee is $950.00. Peeking out from underneath a leaf next to a swingset on the playground, someone noticed a little nose and two big eyes. Pushing back the leaf they realized it was alive. Something was there but what was it? could it be - a mouse,  a chipmunk? No, no it was - a dog! a very small dog with matted hair and it couldn’t walk.  they tenderly picked it up and headed to the shelter. it was too matted for a thorough exam so They called for the Cavalry - Yorkie Rescue.  Kathy said yes and one of her friends  brought him to her. She gave him a warm bath and trimmed up some of the mats. She had him groomed by a professional and then she called Marilyn. His name is Beauregard but we call him Beau Beau. Three pounds of skin and bone, he needs to eat several times a day to gain strength. His teeth were very bad and many had to be pulled but he still can munch his kibble with enthusiasm.  He has been neutered which will extinguish his penchant for The Humpy dance on his beds.  Amazingly this minuscule man is housetrained. He will use the outdoors or a pee pad inside.  Barking is not a problem. He rarely makes a sound.  Walking is his major difficulty.  His back legs are bent and splayed in impossible angles making each series of steps more like a rocking horse than a traveling dog. That’s ok.  He will be examined soon by an orthopedic surgeon and hopefully be set up for surgery to get them straightened out. Stay tuned for more about Beauregard. Beauregard is staying with Marilyn in Sinking Spring, PA.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 15, 2025, 5:01 am
