Though he may be shy at first, there`s a gentle and loving spirit beneath his quiet demeanor.This little guy enjoys the company of other dogs and may do best in a home with a confident canine companion to help show him the ropes and offer reassurance. He’s slowly building trust with people and will now take chicken treats from your hand—a big step in his journey!Dexter isn’t the type to rush in for attention, but he’s making progress every day and truly shines with patient, kind-hearted humans who are willing to let him go at his own pace. With time, love, and a little encouragement, Dexter will blossom into a loyal and affectionate companion.***********Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog’s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with time and a gentle approach, most of these dogs adapt quickly.
