My story

What my friends at OHS say about me:Hi! I'm Salamander, aka Sal: a spunky, food-loving, puzzle-feeder enthusiast with a personality as silly as my name. It may take me a few days to get settled in before I feel at home, but once I'm comfortable, I'm a wonderful companion! My foster families have all raved about what a great houseguest I am.I can pull while I'm out on walks because, well, I've got places to go! I'm learning to walk on a head halter so walk time is even more enjoyable for everyone.I'm known for my signature head tilt and ears that flap in the wind! Though it's always good to aim for slow, positive introductions to new people and animals, I have a good history living and playing with kids. I have had good playdates with other dogs, but may do best as an only pet as I can get a little anxious if the other animals don't let me be in their space.I may benefit from a dental cleaning or extractions in the future.The type of home I'm looking for:I lived with toddlers and babies in my last home.I will need to meet any canine companions prior to getting adopted - I have made lots of dog friends and might do well with a dog in the home!It could be with you!
