My story

MomIf I could have a wish granted by my `Fairy Godkitty`, it would be to speak. Then, I could explain to the humans I encountered, what I had experienced, and what I needed. For the past nine months, I have been living outside of my owner`s home. They have not interacted with me very much, and when they surrendered me to the HSHC on May 9, they couldn`t provide many details about me. My first owner had declining health issues and could not care for me. Since arriving at the shelter, I`ve been quiet and kept to myself. It is not because I am unfriendly; I`m simply shy. A few days ago, the HSHC held a big adoption day event, and a volunteer picked me up to give me some attention. I melted into her arms and immediately began purring. The interviewer lady (IL) saw me and couldn`t stop petting me and telling me I was beautiful. I am probably 10-years-old, weigh only 8 pounds, and have a lovely buff, cream, and grey coat. I was spayed years ago. The HSHC staff wants you to know that because I have spent the last nine months outdoors, I may require a more extended transition period as I adjust to a new home. This means giving me a small space with everything I need to live before letting me have free rein in the house. All I need is a patient, loving owner who will allow me to become an indoor family member. I have much love to share with a human who needs me as much as I need them. 5-21-25
