PENNY

My story

Penny Lane is a street in Liverpool, England, made famous by the Beatles’ 1976 song of the same name. A tourist attraction for Beatles fans over the decades, “Penny Lane” street signs were stolen so frequently by souvenir hunters that the city opted to paint the street name on buildings rather than using physical signs. As the Beatles hysteria has lessened over the decades, the street once again has physical signs, which are still occasionally stolen. We have a sweet pup at the shelter by the name of Penny who thinks this is quite rude! The only thing she’s interested in stealing is your heart! Penny lived in her former home for most of her life before being surrendered to the shelter when her owner could no longer care for her. They had WONDERFUL things to share about her- they said that Penny is good with young children, good with big dogs, house trained, affectionate, a couch potato, loves toys, knows tricks, is playful, very smart and goofy, has energetic puppy behavior, and is overall a great dog!Penny’s volunteer friends also adore her, sharing:“Penny is a sweet, sweet baby! I brought her over to a play yard and she was excited to run and play. She has big puppy energy. She`s happy, friendly, energetic and overall just a very good girl! I sat down on a bench and she jumped up right next to me for snuggles. She is eager to give and get love.”Penny shares her kennel politely with another pup and has been easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Penny likes the lyric from another Beatles song, “All you need is love, love, love is all you need.” She’s dreaming of the day when she’ll meet the furever family who will give her all that she needs- love!
