My story

Kitty is looking for a family willing to take a leap of faith. Here in the shelter she isn't going to be able to show you all of the wonderful qualities that caused her last family to love and that we believe you'll see again fairly quickly once she's home, settled, and able to take her first deep breath in a little while.Kitty grew up in her last home, and that's the place where she felt safe. There, she was described as chatty when she wanted your attention, likely to rub up against you or hop on your lap, exploratory and loungey on couches and beds. She lived successfully with other cats, and is apparently an accomplished spider hunter. Good job, Kitty! Though a bit timid initially when it came to strangers, she was able to warm up with a bit of space and time and add friends to her circle.We recommend Kitty join a family with another welcoming cat, and a relaxed household with older or no children may have just the laid-back routine where she can feel settled most quickly. We know your initial connection with Kitty here in the shelter may be half sympathy and half trust fall, but we're quite confident, once she's home and can start to put this stressful transition behind her, the two of you will be able to build a friendship that is all the more special because she really needed you.
