Dutchess is a 4–6-month-old Lab mix weighing 21 lbs, and she’s every bit as graceful, sweet, and loyal as her name suggests. Her story began with heartbreak—she and her siblings were cruelly dumped on a bridge near a busy highway. Thankfully, a compassionate passerby stepped in, stopping traffic to save them just in time. Now, Dutchess is safe and ready to find her forever family. This beautiful girl has a soft, gentle soul and a playful, loving nature. She adores playing with toys, romping around with other dogs, and soaking up all the affection she can get. She’s especially fond of treats (they’re her favorite thing ever!) and is quick to sit and offer those big, soulful eyes in hopes of a snack. Dutchess is fantastic with other dogs and wants so badly to be friends with cats—though she’s learning that not all cats are thrilled with puppy energy. With guidance and supervision, she’ll be a great feline sibling. She also loves children and is learning to control her excitement so she doesn’t jump up when she gets too happy. She’s smart, eager to please, and picks up on routines and commands quickly. Dutchess is the kind of pup who bonds deeply and wants to be part of everything you do—whether it’s going for walks, hanging in the yard, or cuddling on the couch.
