My story

Robin is living in a foster home but he will be onsite for open hours this week, starting Thursday, 5/15! Please submit an application from our website or just come in to meet him during open hours! Robin comes to us all the way from Puerto Rico, where he and his three littermates were found outside and then taken in by good samaritans on the island. Puerto Rican street dogs are known as "Satos," so Robin is what we would call a Sato dog. They connected with a local rescue who made sure they got the vet care they needed to be able to fly to the states. Robin landed in a wonderful foster home with a family with kids, and two small dogs. He is such a good natured little man! He is mostly housebroken, and will not have accidents inside if taken out regularly. He barks to let you know when he as to go! His fosters work, so he does spend time in the crate and is typically ok as long as he has gotten a long walk or playtime before going in-- then he will just nap! Robin loves kids and is very gentle with them. He will not pay them much attention or try to steal their toys if he has his own toys to keep him busy, he can entertain himself! Robin loves dogs, people, and is a happy and healthy boy. His foster mom writes, "Meet Robin, a playful and energetic pup with a heart of gold! This handsome boy is a 4 month old Sato from Puerto Rico, and loves his squeaky plush toys. His favorite thing to do is cuddling up for a nap with you. Robin is looking for a loving home where he can be his loving, happy self. If you're searching for a loyal and affectionate companion, Robin might be your perfect match!" Robin’s adoption fee is $400. Robin is neutered and up to date on core vaccines. They will need a Heartworm test between 6-7 months of age at the adopter's vet. Since Robin is a puppy, any adopter should anticipate needing to work on housebreaking and other training using positive reinforcement.
