My story

A volunteer writes: There are times when we just need to ask for help. Backpack knows putting yourself out there might not come as naturally to everyone as it does to him, so he has some tips. It, of course, helps to be effervescently trusting, friendly, cheerful, and yes, kind of loud. Backpack was found crying outside someone's home. It's usually good to think big because usually a list contains more than one item. So, asking for help with an injury on his leg, a soft place to land, and maybe even someone to love him, he stood outside and waited for someone to take him up. If that doesn't work, maybe consider taking matters into your own paws. He did that by trying to walk himself inside, but his persistence paid off as he was brought to us where we've been able to help him get back on his paws. Backpack knows a forever family may be a considerable request, but it always remains at the top of his list. Working hard to put himself out there, Backpack greets new friends with hearty side leans, chirps, and purrs. Anyway, now he's asking you - might you have a forever home you can share with him?
